ZBC needs to improve

Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation -logo

As always when you think you are enjoying a live broadcast on our beloved Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation, it will always disappoint you. During the NAMA awards, most viewers experience poor sound quality and as always and the famous blackouts and not forgetting poor lighting.

Not just the disappointment from our beloved ZBC, the stage was not up to standard and it was not fit for hosting any function, even a Prize giving day wouldn’t be held there. As the anchors for the Event were entertaining the crowd, one would see some guys behind the stage carry chairs in preparation for the performance by an artist.

Worse when Patience Musa announced the singing of the National Anthem,  a group of guys were seen behind Musa and co-host Leeroy Gopal placing white chairs for those who were going to sing,  some carrying “mbira” and others moving the podium from the stage. The son of the national was badly started, with some guests quiet and not singing it. Then one will conclude they were not in line with the theme of this year “Proud of Zimbabwe”
I don't know whether i must put the blame on ZBC alone or the government is to blame as well. But all the same my advise is ZBC must work on digitilisation seriously because when it comes to live broadcast especially entertainment it’s just lagging behind.
